RISHI FOUNDATION is a development organization established in 1992. RISHI FOUNDATION believes that loans are a more effective instrument than grants in achieving economic productivity and self-reliance among financially marginalized people in Bangladesh.

RISHI FOUNDATION organize and finances people/groups that are in need of credit but are faced with difficulties in obtaining loans through standard financial institutions for the lack of collateral. RISHI FOUNDATION does not finance organizations, businesses, and projects which raise ethical objections, cause social conflict, or would cause serious damage to the environment.

RISHI FOUNDATION works towards sustainable development by providing micro credit to rural women for business undertakings that create jobs and income for underprivileged people. This work can only continue when every borrower faithfully repays the loan amount received, with interest. These repayments are used again to help other poor groups of RISHI FOUNDATION.
